VALERIAN ROOT (Valeriana officinalis)

Valerian root has a long history of medicinal use, dating back to at least the ancient Romans and Greeks.

Most often Valerian is recommended to those suffering from insomnia and as a natural alternative to benzodiazepines. Many find it to be a comforting transition when using it to wean off of benzodiazepines. Studies have also shown it to be an effective herb for those coping with anxiety, restlessness, mania, and in some cases, epilepsy. Valerian root is considered non-toxic, but may cause side effects in large doses (400mg).

The recommended daily dose is 1-2 capsules every 12 hours as needed.
If using Valerian as a sleep aid, take 1-2 capsules every 12 hours as needed.
You won't wake up groggy, and you will stay asleep all night. Happy Dreaming!
