ESSIAC

In 1922, Rene Caisse, head nurse at the Sisters of Providence hospital in Northern Ontario, treated a patient who Rene noticed had unusual scarring on her breasts. Rene inquired about the malformations and was told by the woman that thirty years earlier she had been diagnosed with end stage breast cancer and was given no hope by her doctors. The woman, now in her 80’s, had been given a mixture of four herbs by an Ojibwa Indian medicine man, who told her to drink the mixture in the form of a tea. Before too long the patient was thrilled when the growths had shrunk and eventually disappeared. The woman told Nurse Caisse the herbs she had been given and the proper way to make the tea. After a few years experimenting with the formula, Nurse Caisse opened her own clinic in Bracebridge, Ontario. There she gave many people the Essiac tea without ever charging them a dime. She did however accept donations so she could continue to run her cancer clinic.

The doors stayed open from 1934 to 1942. Eventually the Ontario government was so surprised by the results that they got involved. In 1939, Essiac came within 3 votes to be legalized as an official treatment for terminal cancer. Unfortunately her work was destroyed and it took years for it to surface again. Up until her death in 1978 at the ripe old age of 90, Rene Caisse devoted her life to helping those in need.

The ingredients of Essiac are Burdock root, best known for its beneficial effect on the epidermal tissue, it increases circulation and helps to detoxi1y the skin and surrounding tissues. It is also a good blood purifier. It rids the blood and lymphatic system of toxins and waste. Burdock also has a slight diuretic action, is rich in vitamins B and E., and also contains insulin, which helps regulate sugar in metabolism. Nagoya University researchers found that the chemicals in Burdock root help reduce cell mutation.

Turkey Rhubarb, which has been heavily used in China for over 2000 years is a very impressive detoxifier, especially in the liver. It has also shown to be an antibiotic, anti-viral, and has anti tumor properties.

Sheep Sorrel contains what are called cartenoids. These are broken down by the liver and converted to vitamin A, which has been shown to strengthen the immune system by aiding in the production of white blood cells. Rich in vitamins A, B, C, D, E, K and also a high content of chlorophyll which increases oxygen in the blood. The final ingredient in ESSIAC is Slippery elm bark. Its main constituent is mucilage, which is a gum dissolved in the
bark juices that have been shown to have extraordinary cleansing properties. Slippery elm is also listed as having antibiotic and anti microbial abilities.

Not only is Essiac our first choice in the treatment of cancer, but is has also shown to be effective in helping those who suffer from diabetes, fibromyalgia, tumors, cysts, auto immune disorders, and sever infections.

The recommended dose of Essiac for the treatment of these afflictions is to take 1 capsule 15 minutes before breakfast, and 1 capsule 15 minutes after eating dinner.

If you are using Essiac as a maintenance you need only take 1 capsule a day with a glass of water. We have witnessed firsthand the effects of this seemingly simple blend of herbs, but we implore you to try it for yourself or give it to someone you care about who may be suffering.
