GOLDENSEAL “Hydrastis Canadensis"
Goldenseal is an invaluable herb for acute infections. It is classified as a hepatic (strengthens and tones the liver), cholagogue (promotes discharge and flow of bile from the gallbladder), a bitter digestive stimulant (warms the body, quickens circulation, and breaks up congestion and obstructions), and a primary anti-microbial. It is a primary tonic stimulant for over relaxed, profusely secreting mucous membranes, and having a wide effect on the respiratory, digestive, and genito-urinary symptoms.
If taken to kill infections, drink 1 cup of tea, 2 times per day.
If taken as a preventative, drink 1 cup of tea every 3 days.
Do Not Use Goldenseal If pregnant!
