Pterocarpus marsupium

Also known as Vijayasar or Indian Kino tree. Used in Aryuvedic medicine as a for diabetes because of its high pterostilbene content (a Stilbenoid related to resveratrol naturally found in blueberries and grapes) the resin gum is the only herbal product ever found to regenerate beta cells that produce insulin in the pancreas.


Holy basil

Also known as tulsi, native to India. Helps by lowering fasting and post meal glucose levels by an average of 17%.

Ceylon cinnamon

Can increase glucose metabolism by as much as 20-fold, has been found to have "insulin like effects" due to a bioactive compound. Slows the emptying of the stomach to reduce the sharp rises of blood sugar after meals. Supports digestive function, helps relieve inflammation, and stimulates circulation.



Native to North Africa long used in traditional Aryuvedic medicine. Research suggests that the amino acid 4-hydroryisoleucine found in fenugreek, helps stimulate the secretion of insulin, reduces insulin resistance, and decreases overall blood sugar levels.

Lagerstroemia Speciosa, native to Southern Asia. The leaves contain corosolic acid, a substance that is used to lower the glucose in the body. Also has a beneficial effect as a weight loss aid, and/or reducing the absorption of carbohydrates.
